WHERE to send website update requests:
■ E-mail website update requests to our support email address (support@webeclectic.com). The support e-mail address is forwarded to our help desk so the Web Design Production team can worked updates on even if someone isn't in the office to reply to the general correspondence e-mail address (webdesign@webeclectic.com).
WHAT to send:
■ FTP: The first time you request an update, we'll need the FTP information for your website (server name, user name and password - case-sensitive; please contact your hosting company if you don't have this information), or or WordPress login if your site was designed in WordPress.
■ URL's: To avoid any confusion or delays please be sure to always include the exact URL's for each page to be updated, as well as the URL(s) of any links that need to be added. If all pages on the site require a given update, you can simply include your website's domain and indicate that the update is "site-wide".
■ Clear Directions: Please include clear directions re: what needs to be done.
GUIDELINES for getting your updates done quickly:
■ File Sizes: All website content must be supplied by e-mail (or by yousendit.com if the files are larger than 10 MB).
■ Spell Check: Please spell check all text content.
■ Artwork and Fonts: If we do not have a font used on your website and no PC/Windows compatible font(s) are supplied, we’ll match the font to the closest one we have unless you request us to purchasea the font. If no artwork files are supplied, we must re-create the artwork if possible. Flash source files must be provided in order to update Flash animation. The original document must be provided in order to update PDF’s. For more information re: the file types we accept, please see our File Specifications page.
